Ways to Give
Your donation to St. Patrick School will help a student achieve an outstanding education in an excellent institution. Their success depends on your generosity!

When you sponsor a student, you help financially needy families overcome the challenges of tuition payments. Not only will you make a dramatic difference in the life of a child, but you will also serve as an example of the compassion and selflessness St. Patrick School strives to instill in its students, the community’s future leaders. Your tuition contribution of any amount (Catholic – $1939, non-Catholic – $2947) can be allocated to students with the most need or a student of your choice. Contributions can be made monthly, quarterly or annually.
The Annual Fund helps purchase religion books, technology software and hardware, teacher salary enhancements, and special projects. Your donation insures that St. Patrick School will continue to provide “an excellent beginning” for its students.
The new window project will allow the installation of energy-efficient windows in the school. The cost is expected to be $80,000. You may designate your donation to help replace windows that are more than 48 years old.
The St. Patrick School Charitable Foundation is the endowment that provides a monthly income to the school for operating expenses. Your donation will build on a fund that has been in existence for more than 25 years. It is an investment that will continue to multiply with God’s favor.
Safe Environment
The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has required all Schools and Churches to have in place Safe Environment Programs for the protection of children and young people.
The components of Safe Environment required by the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston are:
- Background Checks
- Diocesan Policy Relating to Sexual Abuse of Children
- In-service workshop (Protecting God’s Children for Adults by Virtus®)
All individuals over the age of 18 who will be working and ministering to young people under the age of 18 are required to complete all 3 components prior to working with young people. This includes accompanying children on field trips, and/or volunteering in any activity at school. Below you will find instructions for completing all components. Thank you for taking the time to help keep our children safe!
Background Check
Background check results can take up to a week to receive once submitted. Due to this, please complete and submit this form first and then complete the other two parts. After the background check is run the parish will be informed if the person is allowed to work with children. The parish does not receive the details of the background check, we are only given a yes or no, and everything is kept confidential.

Diocesan Policy Relating to Sexual Abuse of Children
Please take time to make yourself familiar with the Diocesan Policy Relating to Sexual Abuse of Children. This can be found on the webpage for the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston by clicking on this link. If you would like a hard copy of the policy please contact the school office. Once you have made yourself familiar with the policy, please fill out the form from the link below and return it to the school office.
In Service Workshop
The workshop, Protecting God’s Children for Adults by Virtus®, helps you learn about how to see signs of abuse, what to do should you suspect an issue, how to help keep yourself and children safe, and much more. Some of these workshops are done in person, but most people complete the course online. Below, you will find instructions for registering and completing the course. Should you have trouble or questions you may the school office or Sharon Goudy, the coordinator of the Office of Safe Environment for the diocese.
Once you have finished the course you will need to provide documentation that it has been completed. This may be done by printing and mailing or emailing the certificate that is provided upon completion.
